Jack Berquist is a true freshman tight end for Georgia Southern, standing 6'3" and weighing 220 pounds. A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Berquist played high school football at Ponte Vedra under Coach Steven Price. As a senior, he recorded 937 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns while averaging 15.7 yards per reception. He finished with 1,500 all-purpose yards and was named FACA First-Team All-District and second-team all-county. Berquist ranked sixth in receiving yards statewide at the 5A level. His team won the 5A regional championship and reached the State Final Four. He also competed in lacrosse and track and field.
