Ashton Hollins is a 6'5" wide receiver from Mobile, Alabama, who attended George County High School in Mississippi before joining Illinois as a three-star recruit in 2022. After redshirting in 2022-23, Hollins appeared in 12 games during 2023-24, recording nine catches for 119 yards and earning Academic All-Big Ten honors. He played in four games in 2024-25 before shoulder injuries ended his season. In 2025-26, Hollins appeared in all 13 games, totaling four receptions for 104 yards and one touchdown, including a 35-yard touchdown reception against Western Michigan and a 49-yard catch at Purdue. He transferred to Georgia Southern in the spring as a redshirt senior.
