Anthony Bynum is an outside linebacker for Georgia Southern at 6'3" and 255 pounds. A three-star recruit from Newton High School in Covington, Georgia, Bynum played two seasons at Middle Tennessee before transferring to the Eagles in January. In 2024-25, he appeared in all 12 games with 11 starts and recorded 60 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks, earning CUSA All-Freshman honors. During the 2025-26 campaign, he started all 12 games and posted career-best totals of 63 tackles including 6.0 TFLs, 2.5 sacks, four pass breakups, and eight hurries while earning All-CUSA Second Team recognition.
