Jayden Mandal is a 6'0", 205-pound quarterback from Clovis, California, who attended Buchanan High School. A three-year varsity starter, he completed 205-of-305 passes in 2022 with a .672 completion percentage, throwing 23 touchdowns and six interceptions while averaging 237.0 yards per game. Originally committed to Fresno State for baseball in September 2020, he flipped to football in March 2022. Mandal redshirted in 2023, then appeared in six games as a redshirt freshman in 2024, including a start against NIU in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on December 23, where he completed 3-of-6 attempts with one interception and 39 passing yards. He did not participate in 2025 due to injury and returns as a redshirt junior.
