Edward Fonua is a left guard for the Fresno State Bulldogs who transferred from Cerritos College. At Orange High School, he earned first-team All-Orange League honors and was named his school's senior lineman of the year. During his 2022 junior college season, he was selected All-America and All-California Region III as a true freshman tackle, helping Cerritos to an 8-3 record and a Western State Bowl victory. In 2025, Fonua started all 13 games at left guard, a position that saw no lineup changes throughout the season. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed one sack. He was part of a rushing offense that recorded its most ground yards since 2018 before suffering an injury in the regular season finale at San Jose State on November 29.
