Ty Jackson is a 6'2", 225-pound weak-side linebacker for the Florida Gators and a returning sophomore. Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jackson attended Seminole Ridge High School, where he was rated a consensus four-star recruit and ranked No. 54 overall in the Class of 2025 by national outlets. In his prep career, he recorded 391 tackles across 32 games, including 162 solo tackles, 15 tackles for loss, six sacks, and four interceptions. Jackson committed to Florida on November 25, 2024, after decommitting from USC. During the 2025 season, he appeared in eight games, primarily on special teams, while recording one total defensive tackle.
