Chavez Thompson is a redshirt freshman center for Florida State from Cocoa, Florida, where he was a three-star recruit ranked as the nation's No. 5 center by national outlets. Thompson took 68 snaps at center during the 2025 redshirt season while backing up All-ACC Luke Petitbon. He participated in four games as the Seminoles posted the nation's No. 9 offense (472.1 yards per game) and led the ACC in total and rushing offense. Florida State's offensive line held three opponents without a sack and the team recorded 498 rushing yards against Kent State, the most in the nation that season.
