Demetrius Hill is a 6'2" safety from Miami Springs High School in Miami, Florida who began his collegiate career at FIU in 2022. As a freshman, he appeared and started in all 12 games, recording 95 tackles and earning FWAA Freshman All-America honors. After redshirting in 2021, Hill transferred to Illinois, where he played in one game in 2023 before suffering a season-ending injury. He entered the transfer portal following the 2024 season and returned to FIU. In 2025, Hill played in all 13 games, logging 19 tackles with one pass breakup, including six solo tackles at Sam Houston on 11/29.
