Mauricio Hinds is a redshirt sophomore right tackle from Porters Lake, Nova Scotia, who attended Clearwater Academy. As a high school junior, he started for a program that finished 10-1 and won the Sunshine State Independent Association Championship. Hinds redshirted during the 2024 season. In 2025, he saw action across multiple games, including contests against Memphis, Rice, UAB, South Florida, Tulsa, Tulane, UConn, and ECU. He also contributed on special teams units and moved to left guard late in the season while continuing to develop as a player for the Owls.
