Ja'Kavion Nonar is a left tackle for Florida Atlantic standing 6'8" and weighing 315 pounds. A native of Belle Glade, Florida, Nonar played at Everglades Prep before attending Maryland. He joined the Owls in January 2024 as a transfer. During the 2025 season, he started the opener against Maryland and earned starts in contests versus FAMU, FIU, Rice, and UAB. Nonar made consecutive starts at Navy and against Tulsa, a 40-21 victory, and also started games at Tulane, UConn, and ECU. He provided pass protection in the UConn game where the quarterback threw for 494 yards.
