Blake Burris is a 6'5", 320-pound defensive tackle from Irving, TX, who attended Parish Episcopal High School where he was a TAPPS State Champion in 2019 and earned TAPPS First Team all-state honors. Originally a three-star prospect in the 2020 class, Burris played for Texas Tech beginning in 2021 with a redshirt year, then appeared in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman in 2022 and earned Academic All-Big 12 first team recognition. He saw limited action in 2023 due to injury. After redshirt junior and senior seasons at SMU, where he appeared in 12 games in 2024 and 13 games in 2025, Burris transferred to Florida Atlantic as a graduate student in January 2026, reuniting with Head Coach Zach Kittley and Special Teams Coordinator Tyler Schovanec.
