Carter Evans is a defensive lineman for Eastern Michigan, standing 6'4" and weighing 248 pounds. The Crystal Lake, Illinois native attended Prairie Ridge High School, where he was a four-year starter and three-star recruit who received over 30 Division I offers. Evans appeared in four games as a true freshman in 2021, recording four tackles on 50 snaps. He played in eight games in 2022, posting 14 total tackles and his first career pass breakup. A 2023 injury limited his availability, but he returned in 2024 to appear in all 12 games with 15 tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss. In 2025, Evans played in all 12 games with 11 starts, recording 37 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, and seven quarterback hurries. He was selected to the 2026 Phil Steele MAC First Team at defensive end.
