Preston Carr is a nose tackle for East Carolina who graduated from Person High School in Roxboro, North Carolina, in 2021. He joined the Pirates as a walk-on in 2022 and did not see action that year or in 2023. Carr appeared in two games in 2024, logging 21 total snaps and recording two tackles (one solo) against Army. In 2025, his first varsity letter year, he played in all 13 games with one start across 318 snaps. He totaled 31 tackles (14 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, two quarterback hurries, and one fumble recovery. Carr is a returning redshirt senior.
