LJ Porter is a linebacker for East Carolina, standing 6'0" and weighing 215 pounds. A native of Cornelius, North Carolina, Porter attended Hough High School, where he recorded 48 tackles (14 solo), 8.5 tackles-for-loss, and 5.5 sacks as a senior while appearing in eight games. He was previously a three-year letterman at Charlotte Christian (2022-24), posting 91 tackles his sophomore year and 88 tackles as a junior, when he added 12 tackles-for-loss, two interceptions, and three forced fumbles while also rushing for 175 yards and three touchdowns. Porter verbally committed to East Carolina on August 1, 2025, enrolled early in January 2026, and is participating in spring drills with the Pirates.
