Evan Powell is a 6'4", 247-pound defensive end from Huntington, Maryland, who signed with East Carolina in April 2025 after originally committing to West Virginia in December 2024. A three-star recruit, Powell appeared in two games during his 2025 redshirt freshman season, recording one assisted tackle. His collegiate debut came against Campbell in the home opener, with his only stop registered in the regular season finale at Florida Atlantic. At Huntington High School, Powell earned two letters and recorded 128 tackles (35 solo), 38.0 tackles for loss, and 22.0 sacks across 26 games. Powell was named Defensive Scout Team Player of the Year following the 2025 season and remains on the roster as a returning player.
