Chad Fairchild is a linebacker for the East Carolina Pirates standing 6'0" and weighing 235 pounds. The Hampton, Georgia native from Lovejoy High School verbally committed to ECU on June 16, 2025, and officially enrolled early in January 2026. At Lovejoy, he earned four letters and was named all-state as a senior while earning three All-Region selections. Prior to the regional championship game, he recorded 102 total tackles including 14.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, and two pass breakups. A three-star prospect, he was rated as the 18th-best linebacker by national outlets and chose East Carolina over 22 other Division I offers.
