Colsen Gatten is a true freshman linebacker at Duke standing 6'1" and weighing 220 pounds. A native of Pittsburgh, PA, he attended Central Catholic High School, where he lettered four seasons under head coach Ryan Lehmeier. Gatten was a four-year starter and team captain as a senior, earning first-team all-conference honors his final three seasons. During his senior year, he recorded 101 tackles, 15.0 tackles for loss, and 9.0 sacks while helping the Vikings reach the PIAA Class 6A state championship game. He was named a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 selection and Pennsylvania Football Writers' Class 6A All-State honoree. Gatten was rated a three-star prospect and ranked No. 51 inside linebacker nationally by national outlets. He joins fellow Central Catholic alumnus Bradley Gompers on Duke's roster.
