Julius Puryear is a 6'2", 220-pound weak-side linebacker from Stuart, Florida, who attended Jensen Beach High School as a four-year starter and two-time captain. At Jensen Beach, he set a school record with 252 tackles over his final three seasons and recorded 33 sacks, 92 tackles for loss, and six interceptions. As a junior, he posted 103 tackles, 47 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, and three interceptions while earning first-team all-area honors. A three-star recruit, Puryear joined Delaware as a redshirt freshman and appeared in two games during the 2025 season, recording one tackle. He is on the 2025-26 Conference USA Academic Honor Roll.
