Blake Matthews is a 6'2", 215-pound side linebacker from Villa Rica, Georgia, who transferred to Delaware after three seasons at Troy. A three-year starter and two-time captain at Bremen High School, Matthews recorded 138 tackles and three pass break ups in his prep career, earning Georgia Region 5-AA Defensive Player of the Year honors. In his first season with the Blue Hens, Matthews appeared in 12 games with nine starts, accumulating 54 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, and four quarterback hurries. He was named to the 2025-26 Conference USA Academic Honor Roll.
