Xavier Payne is an offensive lineman for the Colorado Buffaloes who stands 6'7" and weighs 320 pounds. A native of Canandaigua, New York, Payne attended Jones High School, where he played three seasons of varsity football under head coach Elijah Williams. As a junior, he played left tackle for a team that went 14-1 and reached the 4A state title game. In his senior year, Payne started at left tackle and helped lead the Tigers to an 11-2 record and a playoff appearance in the 4A FHSAA State Semifinals on December 5th. He also competed in wrestling and track and field. Payne signed with Colorado as a consensus three-star recruit in the 2026 class, rated at 0.8667 and ranked 1,227 nationally.
