Preston Ashley is a cornerback from Brandon, Mississippi, who completed four varsity seasons at Brandon High School. A four-star recruit, he earned All-State honors and was named the 7A Defensive Player of the Year. Over his high school career, Ashley recorded 203 tackles, 14 pass breakups, 8 tackles for loss, and 3 interceptions. As a senior, he compiled 35 tackles and 6 pass breakups while leading his team to the playoff second round. Ashley joins Colorado as a true freshman and wears No. 31 for the Buffaloes.
