Jose Soto is a right guard who transferred to Colorado from Sacramento State as an undergraduate with two years of eligibility remaining. At Sacramento State from 2023 to 2025, he appeared in 13 games across three seasons, with 12 starts. During the 2025 campaign, Soto played in all 12 games and started 11 at right guard, allowing no sacks or QB hits in Big Sky conference play per analytics services. He contributed to an offense that led the Big Sky Conference with 262.6 rushing yards per game. Soto, who hails from Tulare, California, earned lineman of the year honors all four seasons at Tulare Western High School.
