Ernest Campbell is a wide receiver from Refugio, Texas who transferred to Colorado after one season at Sacramento State. At the FCS level in 2025, he appeared in 11 games with six starts and recorded 37 receptions for 755 yards and eight touchdowns, earning FCS Central Freshman All-American honors. His receiving average of 20.41 yards per catch set a Sacramento State freshman record and ranked eighth in school history. Campbell posted six receptions of 50+ yards during the season, including a 75-yard touchdown reception against Nevada. He also caught nine passes for 206 yards and one touchdown against Montana. Before transferring, he spent 2024 at Texas A&M and competed in track, earning honorable mention All-America honors after placing 22nd in the 100-meter dash at the NCAA Outdoor Championships with a time of 10.02.
