Mel Brown is a running back from Stone Mountain, Georgia, who attended Miller Grove High School. He began his college career at Gardner-Webb before transferring to UConn, where he played two seasons. Brown appeared in 18 games for the Huskies, recording 150 carries for 935 yards and four touchdowns, though a 2025 injury limited him to five games. He joined Colorado State as a transfer and participated in spring 2026 practices.
