Sam Ross is a defensive end for Coastal Carolina who hails from Philadelphia and attended Millersville High School. As a senior, he recorded 31 tackles, one sack, and five tackles for loss while earning All-Catholic League Second Team honors. He totaled 105 career tackles and one touchdown at the high school level, helping his team to a 10-2 record in 2019 and a district championship in 2018. Ross redshirted his freshman year in 2023 before appearing in one game against Georgia Southern in 2024 without recording a statistic. He did not appear in games during the 2025 season and returns as a redshirt junior.
