Sammy Brown, a 6'2" 235-pound linebacker from Commerce, Georgia, was a five-star recruit and the 2023 High School Butkus Award winner who joined Clemson in 2024. As a true freshman, he recorded 87 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks across 444 defensive snaps in 14 games, earning ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year and Freshman All-America honors. In 2025, his sophomore campaign, Brown led the team with 107 tackles and 13.5 tackles for loss while adding 5.0 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble over 734 snaps in 13 games. He earned first-team All-ACC recognition, third-team All-America honors, and became the first Clemson football player since Dalton Freeman in 2012 to achieve both on-field and academic All-America status in a single season.
