Fletcher Cothran is a 6'3", 220-pound weak-side linebacker from Anderson, South Carolina who joined Clemson as a walk-on in summer 2022. He made his collegiate debut versus Louisiana Tech that year while redshirting. Cothran appeared in three games on special teams in 2023 before seeing expanded action in 2024, appearing in 13 games and recording two tackles and a forced fumble in kickoff coverage against Appalachian State. In 2025, he appeared in 13 games with nine total tackles, three tackles for loss, and 0.5 sacks, including his first career sack versus Penn State. He enters 2026 as a returning redshirt senior.
