Taran Tyo is a 6'3", 325-pound right guard from Greenville, Ohio, who played high school football at Versailles before transferring to Cincinnati from Ball State. At Ball State, he earned Third-Team All-MAC honors in 2024 after starting 11 games at right tackle and appeared in 12 games at right guard as a redshirt freshman in 2023. In 2025, Tyo started all 13 games for the Bearcats, recording a 78.3 grade in the Oklahoma State game that ranked second among all guards that week. Cincinnati's offensive line allowed eight sacks across 13 games and was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award.
