Joshua Smith is a 6'5", 195-pound wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bearcats. The true freshman from Columbus, Ohio, attended Africentric High School, where he was ranked a consensus three-star prospect and No. 45 player in the state by recruiting services. Smith played quarterback in high school, accumulating 4,425 passing yards and 59 touchdowns while rushing for 777 yards and 13 scores. He recorded 34 total touchdowns and 2,228 yards through eight games as a senior. A multi-sport athlete, Smith earned All-State recognition in football, basketball, and track, along with All-City and All-District honors. He selected Cincinnati over Iowa State.
