Daniel James is a left cornerback for Cincinnati standing 5'10" and weighing 183 pounds. The Powder Springs, Georgia native from McEachern High School was a four-star recruit ranked No. 226 nationally by recruiting services and No. 284 by recruiting services. As a senior, he earned First-Team All-Region 3-7A honors. James redshirted in 2024, retaining freshman eligibility. In 2025, he appeared in 12 games with starts against Bowling Green and in the Liberty Bowl, recording 15 total tackles including three against both BGSU and Navy, plus four pass deflections.
