CJ Clinkscales Jr. is a right cornerback for Charlotte who transferred from Boston College. The Buford, Georgia native played two seasons at Boston College (2022–2023), recording 14 tackles and an interception across 10 games in 2023 after redshirting his first year. In his 2024 debut with the 49ers, he appeared in eight games and posted 16 total tackles with seven solo stops. During the 2025 season, Clinkscales played and started all 12 games, tallying 40 solo tackles and 48 total tackles while adding a forced fumble against South Florida.
