Ty Williams is a defensive back for Central Michigan who transferred from Butte Junior College in California. As a sophomore at Butte in 2025, Williams appeared in 10 games and compiled 36 tackles (29 solo), one interception for 16 yards, five pass breakups, and one tackle for loss covering five yards, averaging 3.6 tackles per game. He earned All-Conference honors and was ranked the No. 1 NorCal defensive back. Williams previously played at West Hills Coalinga College as a freshman cornerback in 2023, recording 18 tackles (13 solo), seven pass breakups, and two forced fumbles across nine games. He enrolled at Central Michigan in January 2026.
