Drew Esper is a linebacker for Central Michigan, having enrolled in January 2026. A December 2025 graduate of Traverse City West High School in Michigan, Esper was a three-star recruit and two-year team captain. In 28 high school games, he accumulated 319 tackles with 168 solo efforts, six interceptions, and 14 pass breakups on defense. Offensively, he rushed for 827 yards on 122 carries and caught 67 passes for 996 yards with 11 receiving touchdowns. As a senior, Esper averaged 15.3 tackles per game and led the state in tackles while registering 1,259 offensive yards and 19 total touchdowns.
