Derek Wilkins is a redshirt senior defensive end for the California Golden Bears, standing 6'5" and weighing 310 pounds. A four-star recruit from the class of 2021 out of Santa Margarita Catholic HS in Irvine, CA, Wilkins has appeared in all 11 games during the 2025 season, including two starts—his first collegiate start came against Louisville and he also started the Big Game versus Stanford. In 2025, he recorded 12 tackles, 8 passes defended, and 1 quarterback hurry. Wilkins had a season-high three tackles in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl.
