Zak Yamauchi is a left guard for the BYU Cougars who transferred from Stanford. The 6'4", 320-pound lineman hails from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he attended Bishop Gorman High School under head coach Brett Browners. A three-star recruit ranked 633rd nationally, Yamauchi was Nevada's top offensive guard prospect according to recruiting services, earning recognition as a top-10 state recruit by recruiting services. He helped Bishop Gorman capture two state championships and earned two first-team all-conference and all-state honors before his recruitment period. Following a two-year religious mission in Brazil, Yamauchi joined Stanford then transferred to BYU. As a true freshman in 2025, he appeared in eight games with three starts at guard.
