Mathew Hilty is a linebacker for the Buffalo Bulls standing 5'11" and weighing 220 pounds. A native of Apollo, PA, he attended Kiski Area High School, where he lettered four years in football and competed in track and field. Hilty transferred to Buffalo from Erie Community College. During his junior season in 2024, he appeared in all 13 games primarily on special teams, recording three tackles and a blocked punt. He registered tackles against UMass on 9/14 and Western Michigan on 10/19, and had a tackle plus a blocked punt versus Kent State on 11/16. His senior year in 2025 was limited to four games due to injury.
