Joey Cheshire is a linebacker from Lakeland, Florida who transferred to Buffalo after four seasons at Cornell. At Lakeland Senior High School, he earned third-team All-State honors as a senior with 136 tackles, 43 tackles for loss and three sacks. During his 2025 campaign at Cornell, Cheshire started all 10 games and recorded 73 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack and one forced fumble. In 2024, he posted 63 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss and two sacks.
