John Baker IV is a defensive lineman from Clinton Township, Michigan, who attended Detroit Cass Technical High School. As a senior, he recorded 55 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, and 18 sacks, leading Michigan edge rushers in both categories during the 2023-24 seasons. He earned two Detroit Free Press All-City selections and all-state honors, and helped his team win three conference titles and the 2024 state championship. Baker spent the 2025 season at Toledo, where he redshirted without appearing in games. He joined Bowling Green in January 2026 as a transfer and currently holds redshirt-freshman status.
