Syair Torrence is a right cornerback for Boston College from Syracuse, NY, where he attended Christian Brothers Academy. Rated as the No. 5 recruit from New York, he recorded 74 tackles, 24 TFLs, and 10 sacks in his high school career while helping his team to two Class AA state championships. As a freshman in 2024, Torrence played in eight games primarily on special teams, including a tackle against North Carolina on 11/23. During his 2025 sophomore season, he started two games at cornerback with four tackles and three pass breakups before suffering a season-ending injury.
