Robert Smith IV is a right guard for Boston College who joined the program mid-year in 2025. The 6'4", 315-pound sophomore from Villa Angela-St. Joseph in Cleveland, Ohio, appeared in eight games with five starts during his freshman season. He made his first career start at right guard against California on September 27, then started at the position again versus Connecticut on October 18 and Notre Dame on November 1. Smith also started at left guard for the first time against Louisville on October 25 and saw action at the position in games against Georgia Tech and Syracuse. As a recruit, he earned three-star ratings from recruiting services, and was ranked 111th nationally at his position by recruiting services.
