Makai Byerson is a 6'4", 250-pound defensive tackle from Richmond, Virginia who transferred to Boston College from West Virginia. At Manchester High School, he was a four-year starter at defensive end and tight end, earning three-time All-State First-Team honors and serving as a three-year captain. He recorded 105 tackles as a senior, including 11 tackles-for-loss and seven sacks. Byerson redshirted during his 2024 season at West Virginia, appearing in one game against Albany. In 2025, his first season with the Eagles, he played in nine games and registered six total tackles, including three against Pittsburgh on October 4. From Manchester · Richmond, VA.
