John Owens is a graduate transfer long snapper for Boston College. The 6'3", 250-pound native of Tampa, Florida, attended H.B. Plant High School, where he competed as a linebacker and tight end before earning Defensive Player of the Year accolades as a senior with 105 tackles, 32 for loss, four sacks, and two forced fumbles. He played in 33 career games at Holy Cross, recording eight tackles, and was named 2025 Patriot League All-Conference at his position. Owens joined the Eagles program during the summer after earning Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recognition twice and Academic All-District honors in consecutive years.
