Dominic Funke is a defensive lineman from Needham, Massachusetts who joined Boston College in June 2026 as a true freshman. At Xaverian Brothers High School, he recorded 291 tackles and 40 sacks across four seasons while earning two state championships. Funke was a three-time Boston Herald All-Scholastic selection and two-time Catholic Conference Defensive Player of the Year, adding 2025 Massachusetts Defensive Player of the Year honors. His family has deep ties to BC: his father Jerod and brother Jack both played football for the Eagles, while his mother Gabrielle competed in lacrosse and field hockey there.
