Markell Bowens is a 6'5", 240-pound edge rusher from Pocatello, Idaho, where he attended Highland HS. A three-star recruit and the state's No. 5 prospect according to recruiting services, Bowens earned first-team all-state and all-conference honors as a senior after recording 34 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks. During his junior season, he posted 21 tackles and 3.5 sacks. The redshirt freshman appeared in six games during the 2025 season and is on the roster for Boise State.
