Josiah Alanis is a 6'1", 186-pound free safety from Vancouver, Washington, who attended Evergreen High School. A three-star recruit, he recorded 37 tackles and two interceptions in high school while also serving as the team's primary punt returner, averaging 37.8 yards per return with a 66-yard scoring return. Alanis won the 2024 state long jump title, clearing 24'1" to set a state meet record. He redshirted during the 2025 season, appearing in six games and posting three solo tackles, including two against Colorado State on November 22 and one against Washington in the LA Bowl on December 13.
