Derek Ganter Jr. is a safety from Pasadena, CA, who attended Arcadia High School before playing at Eastern Washington. As a redshirt freshman in 2024, he appeared in all 12 games with eight starts and led the Eagles with 95 total tackles, including 55 solo. He earned Phil Steele Freshman All-American First Team honors along with All-Big Sky Second Team recognition.
