Cameron Bates, a junior wide receiver from Mansfield, Texas, joined Boise State as a three-star recruit in 2024. He appeared in 13 games as a freshman and earned Academic All-Mountain West honors. In his sophomore season, Bates played in all 14 games with eight starts, accumulating 18 receptions for 307 yards with one touchdown, along with 78 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. He recorded a career-long 44-yard reception and a 7-yard touchdown in the Mountain West Championship win over UNLV on December 5. Bates was named to the Athlon Sports Preseason All-Pac-12 Fourth Team for 2026.
