A three-star recruit from Oaks Christian High School, he threw for 6,163 yards with 76 touchdowns across his four-year prep career. Bennett redshirted in 2024 after serving as the primary backup to Sawyer Robertson, appearing in three games and completing 1-of-2 passes for 19 yards.
