He began his college career at Colorado State, where he played in 22 games over 2022–2023, recording 59 catches for 579 yards and five touchdowns. Brown transferred to San Diego State for 2024, appearing in 11 games with six starts and posting 38 catches for 620 yards and three TDs, earning fourth-team All-Mountain West honors. A summer transfer portal addition to Baylor, he played in four games during 2025 before taking a redshirt to preserve eligibility.
