Hosea Wheeler is a nose tackle from Sacramento, California, who prepped at Franklin High School. Wheeler began his college career at Sacramento City College in 2021, playing in nine games before transferring to Western Kentucky. At WKU from 2022–24, he appeared in 31 games with 25 starts, recording 65 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble in 2024 alone while earning first-team All-Conference USA honors. Wheeler then joined Indiana for the 2025 season, playing in all 15 games with five starts as the Hoosiers won the national championship with a 15-0 record, collecting 31 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two fumble recoveries.
